2025 Valdiguié

Introducing the Bad Witch inaugural vintage Valdiguié! Valdiguié (Val-duh-gay) is the grape you probably don't know yet but won't soon forget. She is the perfect summer red you didn't know you needed. Fresh and juicy, crunchy, and cool as hell. And this Valdiguié comes from the ever mystical Lolonis Vineyard in Redwood Valley, Mendocino County. Organically farmed, head trained vines, and straight magical vibes.
These grapes were harvested on September 27th, at 4am under the moonlight. Half of the fruit was destemmed while the other half went in whole cluster to an open top fermenter. A few days of carbonic maceration, followed by inoculation, and a few rounds of foot stomping, allowed for a smooth and beautiful fermentation. 11 days later the wine went into barrel where it completed native malolactic fermentation.
The finished wine is nothing short of electric, and her acid is the star of the show. Thanks to the diurnal shift at Lolonis, and harvesting the grapes at only 21 Brix, this Valdiguié is crisp and fruity, with low tannins and just under 13% alcohol, so you can sip her all day long. You can even throw a bottle in the fridge and go full chill red mode. Think blackberry soda cut with a thorny feral bramble.

2024 Rosé of pinot noir anderson valley
Here for a good time, not a long time, meet the enchanting 2024 Rosé of Pinot Noir! This very limited production is the first wine Clair made for Bad Witch, when the dream was only beginning to materialize. These gorgeous grapes come from the Day Ranch Vineyard in the renowned Anderson Valley, aka the perfect climate for Pinot Noir. This Rosé doesn't so much arrive as appear — pale, pale pink, nearly translucent — like something you catch out of the corner of your eye before you are drawn in by her spell.
Harvested on the Autumn Equinox, 1 stainless steel barrel of juice was pulled off the grape must via saignée method within hours to capture just enough color and nothing more. The juice settled cold, fermented slow and easy, and was left alone to do its own quiet thing — no rushing, no forcing, just enough hands-off magic to let the fruit speak for itself. Bottled on the Spring Equinox of 2025, this wine has been patiently waiting to greet your glass.
This Rosé is delicate, soft, and undeniably pretty. Think slightly underripe white peach with a wildflower finish. She's built for sunny beach days and slow afternoons on the porch. Or if you're feeling extra witchy, she pairs beautifully with a tarot reading or manifestation ritual ⋆˙⟡
Clair, the Winemaker and HWIC here at Bad Witch Wines, coaxed this one into being with a lighter touch than usual — sometimes the magic is in restraint (especially in winemaking). Only one barrel produced, and once she's gone, she's gone.
